Gardening may take time and effort, you have to complete a daily and weekly task to get that perfect lawn and yard. Watering
Always keep the flowering beds moist, it is better to water plants 1-2 times per week early in the morning or evening, this is the time when the soil is cooler and will prevent water to evaporate. You can also try an irrigation system so you can regulate the amount of moisture of your garden beds. Avoid watering grass daily unless it’s a particularly dry summer.

Weather
Hot weather may prevent other plants from growing to maintain your garden temperature up to 26°C. When the temperature rises the soil may dry out so you have to avoid cutting the grass short.

Get Rid Of Weeds
Use a trowel to remove the roots of the weeds, you may also use a mulch to prevent weed seed from sprouting, and to minimize the space in your garden for weeds you can plant densely on your garden beds.

Aerate
The plants need water and sunlight to thrive but it also needs air. It is also important to aerate your lawn when the soil has become compacted. Aerate will allow water, air, and nutrients to penetrate the roots.

Dethatch
It is from dead plant materials, It is healthy when you can maintain a small amount of thatch in your garden and avoid too much of it. When your lawn has more than three-quarters of an inch thick of thatch you can use a rake to remove the layer of it to allow air and water to penetrate the soil making your lawn healthy.

Test Your Soil
Testing your soil means you have the right information about its pH level and you know you have a healthy lawn, maintain between 5 to 7 pH levels. When it is more than 7 you may add sulfate to reduce the alkaline level and if the soil is too acidic add lime to bring it to balance.

Fertilize
Determine first the types of plants and grass that you are growing so you would know what kind of fertilizer you needed. The use of fertilizer may also vary depending on what season and how much fertilizer you are going to put.

Add Compost
You are putting essential nutrients on the soil when you add compost. It is a natural option to have healthier grass and plants.

Occasional Reseeding
Reseeding in early spring is more successful, it may fill in bare patches or thicken an existing lawn. Your lawn needs occasional reseeding depending on the season and the need to make it look more beautiful.

It will make it easier for you to take care of your lawn. You have to consider the type of grass, thicker grass may require more horsepower and you need to consider the size of your property when you are going to buy one.
