4. Cowabunga with Cows

Ready to have some fun? Move on over to the farm for an afternoon with our adorable cows! Your child will meet our cows, prepare their stall for the night, and learn all about cows.

5. The Art of Bonsai 

When: February 23, 2020  at 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Where: Aaron Education Center at the Bellevue Botanical Garden 12001 Main St Bellevue, WA 98005 United States 


Join Instructor Lucy Davenport as she covers the hands-on practice of the art of bonsai, from choosing a nursery plant to styling a bonsai and maintaining it for the first year of growth. You will learn how to branch pruning, root pruning, wiring, and leaf reduction to achieve a miniature specimen. The horticulture of specific species will be covered with attention to small garden trees and flowering shrubs, deciduous and coniferous varieties, for our Pacific Northwest climate zone.

6. Early Bloomers Watercolor Class: Early Flowers, Winter Foliage and Landscapes 

When:  February 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Where: Aaron Education Center at the Bellevue Botanical Garden 12001 Main St Bellevue, WA 98005 United States 

Join Molly Hashimoto and learn how to celebrate the coming of spring through art! You will create watercolor sketches of individual botanical specimens, as well as paint a landscape. All abilities are welcome. All supplies are provided, including artist quality watercolor paper. Participants are encouraged to bring extra paper.

7. Paper Cut Botanicals (Handmade Cards) Workshop

Do you enjoy art-making? Learn the art of paper cutting and create beautiful handmade cards with trendy houseplants, miniature still lifes and other botanical elements. We will add some floral fine paper, washi tape and stickers to make your stationery set complete.

8.Oil Painting for Mere Mortals: Snowy Mountain Adults & Teens 

When: February 22, 2020, at 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Where: Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village 

Experience the fun of painting a snowy mountain landscape as you learn the basics of oil painting, color mixing, and composition with this wet-on-wet painting technique. Leave with a completed oil painting on canvas to take home. No prior experience needed. They provide all the supplies needed.

9. Highlight of the Horse

Join and celebrate the highlight of the horse with us.  This event will include a vaulting presentation, a warm drink, and an opportunity to meet and pet our special horses.  Bring a chair and a cozy blanket.
