How To Make Your Kitchen Space Look Bigger

by www-seattleseastsideteam-com

The advantages of having a small kitchen area. It’s cozier and easy to find something because everything is at hand. But there are many ways to make it spacious and look bigger. A good start would be having a white-colored wall and cabinets. Here is my list of things to create the illusion of a bigger kitchen and extra room.

Add More Lighting

It will make your kitchen brighter and bigger. You can also add lights under your cabinets to lessen any dark shadows around your cabinet.

Use Shallow Cabinets

To make extra floor space you need to use shallow and slimmer cabinets. Not only that it saves space but you are also reducing your storage to the most important things in your kitchen.

Use Single Sink

Many clients preferred large or double sinks but most of the time we don’t use the second, using a single sink can add counter space and more storage in your kitchen.

Use Compact Dishwasher

Saving at least 6 inches of space from your dishwasher can also give you additional space for your cabinets. It fills up quickly and you run a full load always instead of half full.

Use A Smaller And Slimmer Refrigerator

Using a smaller or slimmer refrigerator will require you to frequently shop for essentials only and the food is always fresh. Most bigger refrigerators ended up full of old grocery items or half empty.

Use Open Shelves

Use open shelves for your everyday items in the kitchen. It will add more space and your kitchen will feel less stuffed.

Hang Smaller Items

You can hang pots and pans to free up additional cabinet space. Use magazine racks inside your cabinet to store supplies like aluminum foils, and cling wraps.

Declutter

Store other appliances in another room or in the basement until you need them. There are some appliances that you don’t use often, don’t let them take up some space in your kitchen.
